Speaker biographies:

Jo Paggi

Jo is a NZ Registered Dietitian with 10 years of experience in both Australia and New Zealand. She works as an Advanced women’s health dietitian at Christchurch Women’s Hospital and has her own private practice, Nutrition for Women.

 

Hazel Escott

Hazel has recently completed the Master of Nutrition and Dietetics at the University of Auckland and begun work as an inpatient dietitian at Palmerston North Hospital. Her Masters Thesis project investigated the effects of dietetic input on perinatal outcomes associated with Gestational Diabetes (GDM).

 

Klaudia Illenberger

Klaudia graduated from the University of Auckland in 2023 with an interest in maternal and postpartum health, specifically gestational diabetes, which she explored in her thesis. Klaudia works as a renal dietitian at Te Whatu Ora Te Tai Tokerau, where diabetes management is a key part of her role.
