Nau mai, haere mai! Welcome Angela Berrill

Dietitians New Zealand is delighted to announce the appointment of our incoming General Manager, Angela Berrill.

Angela is a New Zealand Registered Dietitian, with over two decades of experience working across a diverse range of dietetic settings – such as Private Practice (including ACC, menu audits, aged care, workplace seminars), Food Industry, and Public Health. Additionally, Angela has made significant contributions to communications and media, leveraging her nutrition expertise to dispel nutrition myths and provide credible nutrition information to the public.

Due to her passion for raising the profile of dietitians and recognising the pivotal role of providing accurate nutrition messaging in the media, Angela convened the Dietitians New Zealand Media SIG in 2015 and again in from 2018, until it was disestablished in 2019.  Angela remains dedicated to advancing the profession and ensuring the dissemination of reliable nutrition information in the media.

Angela has a strong background in all aspects of business management, having founded her private practice, ABC Nutrition, in 2008. This business has since evolved into a thriving practice, with a team of exceptional dietitians spread across New Zealand. 

Angela holds bachelor’s degrees in Consumer and Applied Science (Human Nutrition) and Commerce (Marketing Management), as well as a Post Graduate Diploma in Dietetics all from the University of Otago.
