I have worked as a dietitian for the past 20+ years, with the majority of my experience being in food service management. I currently work as a private practice dietitian in Christchurch, providing consulting services to a variety of long term care facilities including; aged care facilities, community homes, mental health facilities, student hostels and prisons. I assist with menu development, menu auditing, implementing food safety programmes and staff training. I am a member of the Special Interest Group in Nutrition and Gerontology and have been on the implementation team for the introduction of IDDSI to New Zealand. I enjoy being a dietitian and am proud to be one. I am encouraged by the positive changes the Council has made over the past year and I look forward to being part of the future successes of Dietitians New Zealand.
