Julia Sekula

Julia has had over 15 years’ experience as a Dietitian predominately in medical nutrition therapy and more recently, in education at The University of Auckland (UoA).  She provides clinical leadership within the medical nutrition therapy domain of the MHSc (Nutrition & Dietetics), manages the student-led clinics and is a member of the Clinics Governance Committee.  She is currently undertaking her PGDip in Clinical Education and has research interests in interprofessional education and effectiveness of practice. She has been actively involved with Dietitians NZ as a committee member and past-president of the Auckland Branch, a member of the supervision guidelines working group, as a co-author of the NCPT and cardiovascular sections of the clinical handbook and more recently as a member on the NCPT working group and representing Dietitians NZ on the Academy’s ANDHII (health informatics) working group.
