Registered Dietitian (Eating Disorders)

Sefton – Canterbury

¾ or Full Time position (negotiable)

We are seeking expressions of interest for a Registered Dietitian to join Recovered Living NZ. Initially you will support our organisation for 2-3 hours a week in establishing policies and procedures relating to our clients dietary needs as well as receiving tailored training for your role in the residential eating disorder treatment space.  Once our facility opens, the position will be 4 – 5 days/week (negotiable).  You will be working directly with clients and collaborating with our multidisciplinary team.

Everyday will be different and challenging while you build working relationships with a friendly and supportive cohort.  Recovered Living NZ offers world-class treatment for all New Zealanders in a home-style environment using the latest evidence-based practice, modelling successful residential eating disorder treatment programmes in America.  We have a multidisciplinary advisory team of highly trained eating disorder professionals from the USA, and are currently recruiting a kiwi team to work collaboratively within the RLNZ programme.

Any staff who identify as being fully recovered from an eating disorder, must have been so for a minimum of five years.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

You will be a strategic thinker committed to achieving health equity and full recovery for people with eating disorders. You will be a registered member of the NZ Dietitians Board.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

– Assist in the development of the RLNZ nutritional policies and procedures
– Provide individual nutrition therapy assessments, ongoing nutritional counselling and discharge planning
– Provide individual, family and group nutrition sessions
– Communicate with outpatient providers for coordination of care and relationship development
– Work with the RLNZ clinical team to ensure a unified approach to care
– Maintain all required documentation
– Determine weight goals for clients where required, according to protocol, and implement meal plans to support the weight goal.
– Participate in the weekly treatment team meetings and communicate weekly treatment goals with all team members
– Co-facilitate monthly family days with other treatment team members
– Meet with clients and families on an as needed basis to support education and discharge planning
