Dietitian – Diabetes

  • Based at Greenlane Clinical Centre , Auckland DHB Diabetes Centre

The Diabetes service at Auckland District Health Board is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated experienced diabetes dietitian with excellent communication and IT skills, proven time management skills and clinical experience to join our supportive multi-disciplinary team.

This is a permanent position based at the Greenlane Clinical Centre with work also occurring at satellite clinics in the community. The focus of the role is to provide nutrition education in diabetes clinics, as well as branch out to more innovative techniques such as groups and community settings within the ADHB region.

This is a busy and stimulating position offering broad experience. Applicants must be able to work independently and be flexible.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a New Zealand Registered Dietitian (current APC) or be eligible for registration in New Zealand
  • Have at least 2 years recent experience as a clinical dietitian
  • Have a full, valid drivers license

You will be supported with professional supervision and training. 

Experience with Carbohydrate Counting and DAFNE would be an advantage.
